Introducing the S100 Air Velocity Switch with User-Adjustable Trip Point
The new S100 probe style air velocity switch from Degree Controls provides low flow trip-point detection. It is a reliable, cost-effective way to monitor airflow in HVAC systems, data centers, and industrial processes.
When air velocity drops below the user-defined trip point, the S100 signals for low flow with your choice of Normally Closed (N.C.) or Normally Open (N.O.) relay output and on-board LED indicator. The air velocity trip point is set by the user via potentiometer adjustment with the S100 is installed in its application environment. S100 installation is fast and easy with included mounting bracket options and convenient push-wire connections.
The S100 airflow monitor has a trip point range of 0.5 - 20 m/s (100 - 4000 fpm) and handles 24V AC or DC supply voltages, as well as extreme conditions down to -15°C (5°F). Applications for the S100 switch include:
- Monitoring airflow in ducts and HVAC systems
- Detecting a drop in air velocity caused by a dirty or clogged filter
- Fan monitoring within electronic cabinets and enclosures, or within combustion and controlled cooling processes
