F-Series Sensors for Diverse Airflow Measurement Requirements
Embedded air velocity sensors by Degree Controls provide airflow solutions for demanding laboratory, HVAC and electronics applications. The F-Series platform of non-directional air velocity and temperature sensors is robust and provides users with powerful versatility.
The high-performance F-Series platform:
- uses dual-sensing elements to measure air velocity and temperature simultaneously,
- is rugged with sealed construction and conformal coated electronics, and
- is configurable to meet your specific application requirements.
A variety of velocity ranges, power supply inputs, probe lengths, and output types are available, as well as remote head sensor styles.
Key differences between F300, F400 and F500 air velocity and temperature sensors are:
Your choice of input power:
F300 |
4.5 – 15 VDC supply voltage |
F400 |
19 - 29 VDC supply voltage |
F500 |
24 VAC/VDC supply voltage |
Extended analog output options with the F500:
F300 & F400 |
0-5V or 0-10V output |
F500 |
0-5V, 0-10V, 0-20mA or 4-20mA output |
Note: Output can be augmented with simultaneous digital communications.
Different sensor length selections to accommodate insertion depths of 30mm (1.25”) to 245mm (9.6”):
F300 |
Three selectable lengths |
F400 |
Four selectable lengths |
F500 |
Two selectable lengths |
Low temperature operating range with the F500:
F300 & F400 |
0°C to 60°C (32°F to 140°F) |
F500 |
-10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F) |

F-Series Remote Head Options
F-Series remote head models are also available for applications where segregation of the sensing element and electronics is desirable, such as products involving high EMI sensitivity or extreme temperature, or those where the sensing area is too small for typical probe-style sensors.
